Hello all!

Thanks for visiting this website. The goal of the website was to keep everybody who is interested in what I was doing in Sudan up-to-date with what was going on with me.

The situation has changed now. After 2 years with Medair in Southern Sudan - I am now back in Amsterdam. I have had a good time in Africa, have seen a lot, learned a lot and have made many new friends. I hope I have been able to contribute something to the programmes of Medair in Southern Sudan as well. It was an interesting and challenging time.

Background

After 20 years work in an international Business Environment I have decided that it was time for a change in my life. So... in May of 2006 I have started to work for Medair in Africa, with focus on the Medair programs in South Sudan.

I have been thinking and praying about this for two years and it became clear to me that this is the right step to take.

I was based in Nairobi, Kenya. The Medair support base for the South Sudan programs is in Nairobi, with a logistical setup in Lokichoggio in North Kenya and obviously the team locations in the field in South Sudan. More information under the South Sudan Program section.
